La Riviera
Riverside is one of three food and drink spaces at Baltic, the impressive international centre on the South bank of the Tyne in Gateshead. Making the most of the setting are floor to ceiling windows across the length of the restaurant.
As you'd expect, the décor is funky, fresh and features lots of wood. Lunches from light meals to three courses are served from midday to 4.30pm, when the restaurant closes.
It reopens two hours later with a full modern British menu. Last food orders are at 9.30pm.
