Third Gateshead Beer & Music Festival

Following our very successful Beer Festivals in 2010 & 2011 we are once again holding the event on the first May bank holiday. It will be Friday 4th May, Saturday 5th May and Sunday 6th May.

We will again have over 100 different beers from all over the country but we will also be featuring and supporting local breweries. We will also have over 25 different ciders as well as a Cava Bar.

To keep our varied entertainment going we will be featuring acoustic music this year so keep an eye on the website as our list of musicians grows.

As well as our clubhouse bar and lounge we will have a large marquee to cope with the demand. As last year we will have a varied food menu to help soak up the ale!

Last year saw a sell out in advance for the event so make sure you get your tickets ordered early. Tickets are on sale now and as last year can be bought online, in person at the club or by post.

Tickets priced at £8 a Day or £20 for a 3 day weekend pass.

We plan to have over 100 different types of Ales & Ciders on over the festival which are sourced countrywide and in this list should be a few beers that aren’t regulary seen in the Northeast.

There are several beer festivals in the Northeast but we believe that ours offers something different as we put as much effort in sourcing the beers as we do sourcing local musicians.

Beer Festival

The music is all held outside in a large heated marque and runs for the full 3 days.  We have carefully selected different genre’s of music to ensure that it will suit all tastes. The Sunday in particularly should be great for families as we have a band consisting of 20 performers playing a mix of instruments, Sword Dancers, an Irish band and Kelly & the sensations who have residency at “as you like it in Jesmond”.

We have also booked a number of rising stars on the Northeast Music Scene particulary Ambershift, The Soviets & Hattie Murdoch who have all courted national radio play within the last 12 months.

All entertainment info can be found on the official beer festival website. www.gatesheadbeerfestival.co.uk

Last year we had a real mixed audience ranging from real ale buffs, mixed groups & famililes. The public response was incredible last year to the point we had to turn people away, because of that we are selling all the tickets in advance this year.

Tickets for the Festival officially go on sale from 7th February via our online sales or from the club house. Tickets are limited so it is recommended to purchase them in advance.
